27-Pound Lobster: Crustacean Monster Caught in Maine

A fisherman named Robert Malone caught a 27-pound lobster last Friday while fishing in Maine. The lucky lobster won’t be part of any human’s digestion. According to Aimee Hayden-Rodriques, Maine State Aquarium Director, Malone gave it to the Department of Marine Resources. The lobster will be in the aquarium in Boothbay Harbor.

The lobster was dubbed Rocky because it was caught in the Rockland area and it was the biggest ever brought to the aquarium it also measures 40 inches. Rocky surpassed the previous biggest one by 4 pounds while the average lobster people eat normally weighs 1 to 2 pounds.
